Top Ten Disney Animated Movies

Suzy is watching a Disney Sing Along and laughing aloud, so I thought I'd try my hand at a top ten list of my favorite animated Disney movies. (That being movies I don't mind watching over and over. *g*)

Aladdin
Bambi
Beauty And The Beast
Cinderella
The Emperor's New Groove
The Jungle Book
Lady And The Tramp
The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh
Robin Hood
Tarzan

And, for good measure, my favorite Disney/Pixar movies:

Finding Nemo
Toy Story 2
The Incredibles

How about you?

Ten Reasons I Haven't Updated this Blog Lately

Well, I haven't blogged here lately, and here are my ten reasons why not, in no particular order.

1 - I'm not sure anyone is reading it.
2 - James has been sick. Stomach flu, we are told.
3 - Soccer started. I am a coach.
4 - I couldn't think of ten items to fill up any one list. (Let's see if I can do this one.)
5 - I had trouble coming up with topics other than movies, movies, movies. (Jen says, "What's the problem!?" lol)
6 - I spend way too much time at Club Keanu. ;-)
7 - I have been working on getting teachers lined up for the fall session of our homeschool co-op. I am coordinator.
8 - Ummm...I had a couple very very busy weeks.
9 - I've been playing with my new digital camera.
10 - I've been unmotivated.

THERE! I did it!

Now, maybe this will jumpstart me into updating more regularly!

Ten Favorite Pop Songs from 1984

Curious as to what were the top pop songs in the year I graduated from high school, I looked up a top 100 list from about.com from the year 1984. (YES, I graduated from high school 21 years ago this June. Hush. I already KNOW I am old.)

So. Anyway. Here are MY favorites from that list. (The numbers are their position on the list from about.com.)

BTW, I did listen to music other than pop, but that's another post!

3. Jump, Van Halen
4. Footloose, Kenny Loggins
7. Let's Hear It For The Boy, Deniece Williams
8. Owner Of A Lonely Heart, Yes
11. Missing You, John Waite
19. Talking In Your Sleep, Romantics
21. Let's Go Crazy, Prince & The Revolution
33. I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues, Elton John
44. The Heart Of Rock 'N' Roll, Huey Lewis & The News
45. Hard Habit To Break, Chicago

Ten All-Time Favorite TV Shows

I don't watch much TV currently. I don't have any shows that I keep up with on a regular basis. But over the years, I have had a few that I didn't want to miss. These are shows that I would watch today, and rent, or perhaps even buy, on DVD.

1 - Homefront
2 - MacGyver
3 - Quantum Leap
4 - Seinfeld
5 - The Bob Newhart Show
6 - CSI
7 - Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (Yes, I know this one is on currently. But I never seem to be able to catch it!)
8 - Perfect Strangers
9 - Unsolved Mysteries
10 - Amazing Stories

OK, I have to stop there because that's 10, but I am sure I could go on and on! LOL

(Oh man, I just thought of all those shows on TLC. Nope. No cable shows on my list! LOL)

I reserve the right to change my mind, as shows cross my mind that I haven't thought of for years! :-)

Ten Reasons Elves are Cool

Elves are cool because they....

1 - Are immortal.
2 - Are fair and beautiful to look upon.
3 - Are wise and have far clearer sight and perception than Men.
4 - Are skillful warriors.
5 - Speak Elvish.
6 - Go to the Undying Lands.
7 - Don't get sick.
8 - Can sing beautifully.
9 - Have gorgeous hair.
10 - Make elegant and sometimes enchanted weapons.

And this list has nothing whatsoever to do with anyone's respect for and fascination with Legolas Greenleaf, Prince of Mirkwood. Nope. Nothing. Nada. No way.

4 - Not much traffic.
5 - People are friendly.
6 - We can walk to the playground at the school. Just one block north.
